Williams, Fayne ink with Division I schools, three others also sign

The Western Nebraska Community College men’s basketball team will be sending five players on to the next level to continue their playing careers. Tyrell Williams and Phil Fayne, who each spent just one year at WNCC, will be heading to the Division I level. Williams, who transferred to WNCC from the University of Wyoming, inked with Iona University, while Fayne, a true freshman, will be taking his talents to Illinois State University. Also inking papers to continue their basketball playing days included Mason Smith, who is headed to Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Derrick Bowers, who is headed to Oklahoma Wesleyan, and Chase Mason, who is headed closer to home at the University of Texas at Tyler.
